The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

J.P. Murtagh, trainer of Morehampton (ran yesterday) - €200.
Mark Fahey, trainer of Susie's Angel (declared in error) - €200.

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

T. Casey rode Dream Legend (reserve) trained by E. D. Delany (Race 7).

406B Navan Racecourse H'cap

W.J. Lee, rider of Amerilis (GB), trained by Gillian Scott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the last furlong.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Cuban Grey (GB), trained by Patrick J. McKenna, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled a front shoe in running.

J.A. Heffernan, rider of Dandyville, trained by Ms Claire O'Connell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got worked up in the stalls and was then slowly away.

406C Book Hospitality Navan Racing Fest. M'dn

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident inside the final furlong involving Chapel Lane, ridden by W.J. Lee, and Resurgence, ridden by K.G. Kennedy, where it appeared Resurgence drifted right making contact with Chapel Lane. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

D.W. O'Connor, rider of Let's Smash It, trained by Robson De Aguiar, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged left two and a half furlongs down.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Let's Smash It, trained by Robson De Aguiar, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

406D2 Navan H'cap

Adam Caffrey, rider of Distillate (GB), trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

P. McGettigan, rider of Pettus Bridge (FR), trained by Mrs Denise Foster, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Pinball Wizard, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed S. Coen, rider of Moyassr, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated he lost count of the number of strikes he used. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the rider was in breach of R10.3(g) and having considered his clean record, they suspended him for three racedays.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed where Winston's Promise, ridden by L.T. McAteer, had to sit for a stride at around the two furlong pole. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from W. McCreery, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Make The Tide, placed first, as compared with its recent form. W. McCreery reported that the ease in the ground helped bring about the improved performance from his charge. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its contents.

406E Racing Festival November 14 & 15 H'cap

C.T. Keane, rider of Sonoran, trained by G.M.Lyons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went left under pressure.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed where C.T. Keane, rider of Sonoran, used the whip down the shoulder in the forehand position inside the furlong pole as his horse was hanging left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the strike was for corrective purposes and that no further action was warranted.

B.M. Coen, rider of Halon Bay, trained by Ciaran Murphy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly left.

406F Racing Again This Saturday (Fillies) Mdn

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fairylike (USA), trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

Ghulam Abbas, rider of Queen Of Chenab, trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stood in the stalls when the gates opened and bucked leaving the stalls.

406G Kilberry (QR) H'cap

The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Paul W. Flynn, trainer of Jurality (GB), for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i).
